Dear Friend,
From August 4–19 I will be joining many others to walk for Uganda. National Community Church is sponsoring 30,000 Steps For $30,000 to raise money to build an orphanage in this war-torn country.
There are an estimated two million children in Uganda that have been orphaned due to AIDS, civil war, and other atrocities. And the number is rising. So an orphan finding a place to live can literally save their life.
I will be walking to not only raise awareness of this crisis, but also to raise money to be a part of the solution to the problem. One hundred percent of the money raised through National Community Church will go directly towards building the orphanage. In fact, a team of people has already paid their own way to go over and complete this project after we raise enough money for the building!
