Donor Services Clerk

The Mission
International Justice Mission exists to protect people from violent forms of injustice by securing rescue and restoration for victims and accountability for perpetrators, ensuring that public justice systems work for the poor.

The Need
International Justice Mission is seeking a qualified and energetic professional to provide excellent customer service through data entry, reporting and donor communication. The successful candidate will be an effective problem-solver with experience in customer service and data entry in a fast-paced, professional environment and must maintain confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information.

Upon mastery of data processing and donor correspondence the donor services clerk will spend an increasing amount of time performing more complex data analysis, problem solving and process improvement tasks.

Responsibilities
•  Receive and process all donation information from check, credit card, IJM.org (using Convio CRM software), wire transfer and stock donations into the Raiser’s Edge database;
•  Facilitate recurring donations via credit card and direct debit and follow-up with exceptions; facilitate gifts in honor/memory of individuals, and facilitate company matching gifts;
•  Respond to constituent phone calls and emails regarding contribution inquiries, contact information updates, and IJM resource orders via credit card;
•  Receive and enter new constituents from church speaking engagements and other sources into Raiser’s Edge, preventing duplicates and ensuring data integrity;
•  Ensure accuracy of information in database including: updating contact information, assigning and maintaining codes, updating notes and actions, and ensuring all connections/relationships are assigned;
•  Assist with follow up efforts including printing and mailing welcome/thank you letters, receipts, and other deliverables;
•  Assist with the co-ordination, execution and improvement of key donor retention and acquisition processes;
•  Assist with creation of donation reports and data analysis for the Donor Relations department;
•  Provide data queries and reports for other departments;
•  Participate and train colleagues in the continual development of the contact management function organization wide;
•  Liaise with volunteers to accomplish projects such as mailings and entry of new constituents;
•  Maintain professional standards for the Donor Relations department through thorough editing of written communication, strict adherence to deadlines, professional standards of email and telephone communication, and appropriate professional etiquette; and
•  Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience
•  At least six months experience in the accurate entry of data into a computerized file system;
•  Proven ability to provide professional customer service to a variety of constituents;
•  Bachelor’s degree;
•  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 97 or higher;
•  Exceptional ability in written and oral communications; and
•  Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain databases; prior experience using Raiser’s Edge and Convio preferred.
