Preschool- March 22

Worship:

Engaging in praise and worship helps us prepare our hearts to hear from God. It is also an important way we can give God glory and focus on who He is. At NCC Kids, we start our Sunday experience with singing and dancing, bringing a joyful sound unto the Lord. 

You can access a playlist to this month's worship song videos here. Ask your child to help you learn the motions so you can follow along!

Note: There will be one worship song in the Bible story experience video, so you can use the playlist to supplement your church at home experience or to listen to throughout the week!

 

Story:

Each week at NCC Kids, our Preschoolers view a new Bible story video. Every month there is a theme that ties the Bible stories together week to week.

This month’s Preschool theme is Follow the Leader. You can access this week’s Bible story videos here. 

 

Activities:

For this week’s Preschool activity, download the file here to print at home. 

Activity: Memory Verse Chain

  • What You Need:
    • Memory Verse word pages (or paper to write the words on)
    • Construction paper (or paper to color)
    • Tape or glue
  • What You Do:
    • Before the Activity:
      • Cut out Memory Verse Word Strips. Each child gets one set of four.
      • Cut strips of construction paper, each child needs four strips. 
    • During the Activity:
      • Review the memory verse and motions together. 
      • Help your child bring the ends of the first strip together to form a ring. Alternate between construction paper and the memory verse words. 
      • Help your child tape or glue each ring. 
    • Encourage your child to run the next word through the strip, calling out the next color/number so that they select the correct word.
    • Continue until the children have added each word to complete the verse.
  • What You Say:
    • During the Activity:
      • “Do you remember our memory verse for this month? Let’s say it together with the. “Come (motion toward yourself with hand) and follow me (march),” Jesus said (hands to mouth like yelling), Matthew 4:19.(Open hands like a book.)
    • After the Activity:
      • “You can use this chain to share your memory verse with (someone in your family/someone you can call). When Jesus said, ‘Come and follow me,’ He was speaking to some special friends. But you and I can follow Jesus,too. He’s the BEST leader we could follow! Who can you follow? I can follow Jesus.
