Day 33: Seeking God for confident gladness in turmoil

March 09, 2008 · 1:00 AMAs I hear my children march around the house singing a song from Children’s Church, “i’ve got joy joy joy joy down in my heart” I am led to pray that we would be as joyful as children. That amidst this chaos, confusion, and turmoil, that we would notice all the things our Creator has done that we should be joyful about. Lord, I ask that we would be glad in all that we see, all that we hear, and all that we do. Father, let us recognize that you are steady, immovable, and supreme above all the chaos in our lives and in our world. Let us rise above the chaos and turmoil and be filled with the joy that only comes from you.
We ask you of this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
